Lifestyle Coaching Pays Off Big for Small, Medium-Sized Businesses

For years, large corporations have been aware of positive returns when employees adopt healthy lifestyle changes, said Jack Bastable, practice leader in health and productivity management at business consulting firm CBIZ .

Faced with the rising burden of growing health care costs, small- and medium-sized employers should consider the range of benefits that a lifestyle coaching campaign can offer to employees and the company.

“The benefits from behavioral changes that augment the well-being and happiness of an employee extend beyond improvements in work performance and productivity,” Bastable said. “The return on investment also shows up in the company’s bottom line (lower health care costs) and in the worker’s personal life. It’s an investment that can pay dividends to the company and the employee for years.”
